Marc Held is a protean and indefinable creator.
Designer, architect, photographer... For the first time in Marseilles, an exhibition offered a vision of his long career. Were presented at the gallery a selection of vintage furnitures just like famous Culbuto seat edited by Knoll and other works edited by Prisunic in the Sixties. Were also shown some unique works that made international fame of the designer as furniture created for private rooms of Elysée in Paris or for IBM firm in Montpellier. The event was also the edition, in collaboration with the gallery, of the "Primo Culbuto" seat, first prototype of the seat that Knoll decided to edit. Architectural work was obviously not absent from this retrospective since video projections shown Marc Held's work, especially in Skopelos island in Greece where he lives now. Some of his touching youth photographies were also displayed on the walls of the gallery.

This catalog offers a singular point of view with photographies of furnitures by Olivier Amsellem.
